Ween - She Wanted to Leave

I thought for a while which Ween song I would choose since they are the greatest. The music of Ween is hard to explain, they could easily be dismissed as a novelty act if the musicianship wasn't so spot on. Deaner plays some good guitar and Gener sings beautifully with or without effects. They just write good songs and although they're not for everybody, people are rarely indifferent about what they do.
She Wanted to Leave closes The Mollusk. Some fans think The Mollusk was their finest album. This track defies genre. The entire Mollusk album has a nautical theme throughout and this song best exemplifies it in a swashbuckling story of a seafaring man's tale of lost love.

Roots Manuva - UK Warriors

I like this track because I think of the UK people I have known. It makes me think of a couple in particular, not because of whinging but because they represented in their own unique way. The new album is not yet available in the US but I'll be at the record store on April 19th for another serving of dubby Britastic rhymes.
Roots brings it. Listen to everything this guy has made if you get a chance.
